ArtForce, a three-week program, invites participants to explore arts in education as a potential collegiate and career path as they shadow professional teaching artists.

Wait, what’s a teaching artiArtForce 2016st?

According to Eric Booth, the father of the teaching artist profession, actor, and author, “A teaching artist is a practicing professional artist with the complementary skills and sensibilities of an educator, who engages people in learning experiences in, through, and about the arts.”

What else should I know?

As a class, you will explore fine arts workshops such as clay, theater painting, dance, upcycling, and music with the professional teaching artists of Arts for Learning and high education faculty Participants will also learn about important topics related to education, business, and ArtForce-2016financial literacy.

The most important part – and the reason for the program – is the ArtForce mentorship program.
