Bobbie Lancaster (Limited Availability)

About the artist

Bobbie Lancaster is a songwriter based in Greencastle, Indiana. Bobbie has been practicing the art of song craft for 15 years, and she’s been sharing it with students through Arts for Learning for three years. “My workshops are adaptable and highly interactive,” Bobbie says. “Teachers choose the theme that the students are to work within, and we use songwriting to reinforce their lessons in the classroom.” A versatile performer, Bobbie works within a variety of genres, including those that most appeal to kids (everything from rap and R&B to country). Bobbie has written and recorded eight albums of original music in the blues, bluegrass, folk, children’s music, and gospel genres. But nothing quite satisfies her as much as reaching students in the classroom. “They spend their learning time in a way that is refreshing, and fun,” she says. “Even some of the less motivated students tend to participate and even shine during our sessions, learning their curriculum in a way that stays with them.” To learn more about Bobbie, visit her website
