About the artist

Based in Indianapolis and California, Cathy Morris is a violinist (standard and electric), composer, arranger, producer and educator. A violinist of 30 years and a teaching artist with Arts for Learning for 23 years, Cathy is a graduate of Indiana University, where she studied violin performance and arts management. Cathy has performed with numerous nationally known artists, including Chuck Mangione, George Benson, Burt Bacharach, and Spyro Gyra. “I use music as a means to impact audiences of all ages through performances, workshops, programs, and philanthropic projects,” Cathy says. When performing and working with students, her most pressing goal is to “empower individual potential” in students while improving their knowledge of everything from history to geography.
