About the artist

Tyler May is a digital storyteller who does freelance photography and videography across the country. After gaining years of experience in photography and online video, Tyler created a podcast to explore a new storytelling medium. For the past 3 years, Tyler has worked for a tech startup based in San Francisco, Patreon, that helps creators of all kinds get paid. He’s currently finishing a counseling degree, which complements his documentary approach of storytelling and film making, while running a media business.

Filmmaking + Storytelling

Workshop

Students will discover the power of good storytelling through the medium of video and various digital mediums. They will learn hands-on how to operate a camera, interview each other, and use basic editing skills. This firsthand experience is designed to inspire students to go out and create through digital mediums.
