Arts for Learning receives grant from the Arts Council of Indianapolis

Indianapolis – May 19, 2016… Arts for Learning received a $48,500 grant from the Arts Council of Indianapolis (ACI). This grant will provide general operating support for Arts for Learning. The grant was awarded during the ACI’s 2016 Annual Grants Award Ceremony on Thursday, May 12.

As the oldest and largest provider of professional arts in education programs in the state, Arts for Learning works with more than 60 teaching artists who provide performances, workshops and residencies to schools, libraries, parks and community organizations. Arts for Learning reaches more than 67,000 Indiana children and youth every year.

“College Park Wetlands”

College Park Elementary of the Metropolitan School District of Pike Township has created a “College Park Wetlands” clay installation with Arts for Learning teaching artist Jude Odell. Nearly 300 students in first through fourth grades were involved in the project.

Arts for Learning Receives Young Audience Arts for Learning Affiliate Support Fund Grant

Indianapolis – May 5, 2016…Arts for Learning received a $3,500 Affiliate Support Fund grant from the Young Audiences Arts for Learning national network. This grant will support a revamped Creativity Fest to be hosted at Arts for Learning’s new location in the Kennedy-King neighborhood. Creativity Festis an annual teaching artist showcase and includes dance workshops, musical performances, dramatic readings, and live visual arts demonstrations.

Arts for Learning Receives Summer Youth Program Fund Grant from Allen Whitehill Clowes

Indianapolis – May 5, 2016…Arts for Learning received a $1,000 grant from the Allen Whitehill Clowes through the Summer Youth Program Fund. This grant will support ArtForce, a three-week high school apprenticeship program designed for students looking to continue the arts as a collegiate or career course.
