Indianapolis – March 3, 2016…Indiana youth-serving nonprofit organization Arts for Learning has been chosen to receive a grant from the Indiana Youth Institute (IYI) to attend a training to boost the healthy development of children.

“This organization is improving the community through a variety of programs,” said Glenn Augustine, interim president and CEO of the Indiana Youth Institute. “The grant will allow this agency to make a greater impact in the lives of the children and families it serves.”
IYI created the Professional Development Grants program for nonprofits, faith-based organizations, schools and other agencies serving youth or families throughout Indiana. Because many organizations lack financial resources for staff training and development, the program offers assistance to youth-serving professionals for continuing education opportunities.
The Professional Development Grants program allows organizations that serve families and children to receive up to $750 to pay for registration fees and some travel costs associated with attending a conference, training or workshop that focuses on nonprofit management or healthy youth development. These grants may not be used for IYI trainings or conferences, which are already offered at a substantial discount. Those interested in applying for a grant can go to www.iyi.org/pdg.
The Indiana Youth Institute promotes the healthy development of Indiana children and youth by serving the people, institutions and communities that impact their well-being.
