Working with a professional drummer who is trained in drumming and mindfulness, students will discover their own rhythm through active engagement in hand drumming. Students will gain an understanding of how music and rhythm can be used to calm stressors and ease anxiety. Through the drum circle, students will also understand how our heart beat and breath are part of our own rhythm. This workshop also focuses on self-motivation, creative self-expression, self-esteem, teamwork, and life skills.
