Everyone can be an artist using materials found in your own home! In this workshop, students will build colorful sculptures together using Beatriz’s “torn paper” technique. In addition, students will learn how working together with the materials we have around us can impact sustainability, a brief history of the Latin American folkloric art of Papel Picado, and how to utilize cultural memory.

The fees listed in this catalog represent approximately half of the actual cost of producing and delivering these programs to our community. These fees are subsidized through fundraising, grants, and donations and with support from many organizations, corporations and individuals.
