Students will gain an understanding as to how the use of descriptive details and event sequence help to tell a story through music composition. By understanding how composers use notes to tell a story and evoke actions, thoughts and feelings – students will understand that similarly, sequence of events and descriptive words can be used in their writing. Students will create their own stories and craft their own music compositions, which will then be performed by a professional musician.

Arts for Learning is a not-for-profit organization. All of our artists are professional teaching artists who are paid for their time and talents.
The fees listed in this catalog represent approximately half of the actual cost of producing and delivering these programs to our community. These fees are subsidized through fundraising, grants, and donations and with support from many organizations, corporations and individuals.
