This arts integration reader’s theater program teaches the content of environmental science and conservation in a fun and accessible way while exploring the basics of theater skill and story elements. While performing a script – adapted fairy tale that portrays the tortoise and the hare racing through polluted habitats or the three pigs dealing with effects of environmental degradation, students learn the vocabulary and processes for environmental science concepts like decomposition, recycling, biodegrading, composting, and more.

This program meets standards in Environmental, Language Arts, Science, and STEAM.
