Bonnie Maurer will teach students about the poet E.E. Cummings and his fun loving play with words: mOOn, for example. Students will learn about his children’s poem, “Who Are You?” and create a portrait-poem of a family member in the spirit of the poet. This workshop can be used to write about insects and animals as well.

This program meets standards in 21st Century Skills, Communication, Creative Writing, Critical Thinking, Language Arts, Life Skills, Listening & Speaking, Poetry, and Reading.

Arts for Learning is a not-for-profit organization. All of our artists are professional teaching artists who are paid for their time and talents.

The fees listed in this catalog represent approximately half of the actual cost of producing and delivering these programs to our community. These fees are subsidized through fundraising, grants, and donations and with support from many organizations, corporations and individuals.
