Marketing and Communications Intern

We are seeking an intern to assist the marketing and communications department in the planning and implementation of marketing and PR strategies. The position is flexible, 10-20 hours a week, and the intern will be paid a stipend based on performance. Candidates should have a passion for the arts, excellent writing and verbal skills, experience with organizational social media presence, knowledge of media relations, and a reliable and consistent method of transportation. Experience with AP style guidelines, design software, and photography are helpful. Applicants with majors in journalism, communications, public relations, marketing and advertising are preferred.

Duties may include assisting in the following (but are not limited to):

  • visiting and documenting programs
  • writing blogs, press releases, and social media posts
  • event promotion and planning
  • client outreach
  • updating the website
  • promotional mailings
