There is a drum in every culture in the world. The frame drum is used in many different cultures, such as the Yorubas of Nigeria and the Irish of Ireland. In this workshop, each student will help make and decorate an authentic sounding frame drum made from materials that can be found at the local hardware and lumber store. Instruction is also given in basic drum technique and maintenance.
