Arts for Learning Indiana’s Free Little Art Studio is a community-based space where anyone can take art supplies when they need them or leave supplies behind to inspire the next artist. No cost or trade required—it’s all about access, creativity, and sharing the joy of making!

Where is the Arts for Learning Free Little Studio located?
Find it outside Arts for Learning Indiana at 3328 E. 10th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46201 in the garden area at the side of the building.
Who can use the Studio?
Everyone! Students, families, artists, neighbors—if you have a creative spark (or want to find one), this space is for you.
What kinds of items can I take or leave?
You’re welcome to take or share gently used or new art supplies like:
– Markers, crayons, colored pencils
– Paints and brushes
– Sketchbooks or paper
– Craft materials (fabric, beads, glue, etc.)
If it helps someone create, it belongs here!
Is there a cost?
Nope! The library is completely free. Take what you need, give what you can.
Do I have to leave something to take something?
Not at all. Some days you might need supplies, other days you might have extras to share. Both are equally valued.
Can I start my own Arts for Learning Free Little Art Studio?
Yes – we’d love that! We encourage individuals, organizations, and neighborhoods to create their own libraries, become stewards ensuring your library is clean, accessible and stocked and grow this creative network. Feel free to use your creativity to design your own library.
I’m an Arts for Learning school partner, will you provide us with our own Studio?
Absolutely! Current school partners can reach out to our program staff to receive a free, blank studio structure that students can paint and personalize before placing it at your school. We’ll even help with stocking it for our school partners.
How can I help support the Free Little Art Studio initiative?
