Arts for Learning Builds Community and Creates Opportunity with Glick Philanthropies Grant

Indianapolis, Ind., June 26, 2024 – Arts for Learning Indiana, a statewide organization that provides innovative education to schools, libraries and community centers using arts as the medium, received a $50,000 grant from Glick Philanthropies to support its operations.

Glick Philanthropies, a family of charitable initiatives dedicated to building community and creating opportunity that empowers every person to reach their full potential, recently announced more than $3.9 million in grants.

The funding will be used to help sustain the $1.5 million organization which employs more than 50 teaching artists to serve about 40,000 students in the state of Indiana each year.

“We are so grateful to Glick for helping us implement our mission to provide all youth access to an education that is made whole by the arts,” said Arts for Learning President and CEO, Anya Aslanova. “They are a true partner in creating a community of equitable learning spaces for all students, no matter their place, race or identity.”

Glick Philanthropies awards grants to tax-exempt organizations serving central Indiana and communities where Gene B. Glick Company properties are located. Grants support efforts to:

Build Community

  • Provide affordable housing
  • Support a healthy democracy
  • Strengthen Jewish cultural life

Create Opportunity

  • Expand equitable opportunities in the arts
  • Close education achievement gaps
  • Improve access to basic needs
  • Increase economic mobility

We hope these grants empower our nonprofit partners to reach more people with thoughtful, innovative programs.”
