With such a heavy focus being placed on STEM (science technology engineering math) programs throughout schools, we are overlooking one of the most salient parts of a child’s education… ARTS!
Lisa Phillips, an author, blogger, educator, and business owner wrote a book titled “The Artistic Edge: 7 Skills Children Need to Succeed in an Increasingly Right Brain World,” In the book she surpassed her seven skills and bumped it up to an even ten.
